What is HD Concentric Screening?
HD Concentric Screening is a revolutionary and proven halftone dot technology for offset printing. It divided the conventional round dot into thin concentric rings.
Side View: Ink on Offset Plate.
Ink film thickness on offset plates is proportional to element size. Large solid AM dots (left) carry thick films of ink. Thin ring HD Concentric dots (right) carry thin films. Because ink film thickness is limited by ring width, HD Concentric Screens increase press stability, provide cleaner colors and reduce ink consumption more than 15% on average.
